Prep Work Before Staining
Before applying the stain, we will power wash the surfaces to remove dirt and mildew and to open the pores in the wood to allow the stain maximum penetration. After the wood has been allowed to dry thoroughly, we will return to complete the necessary prep and finally apply your chosen finish.
Stain Finishes
When deciding on your stain, there are a few finish options to consider:
Solid (opaque) Stain – provides a solid color throughout that will block out visible wood grain underneath. This is the longest lasting stain, and provides maximum protection for your deck.
Semi-Transparent Stain – provides some color while letting the wood grain show through.
